November 3, 1999: Initial Public Offering of 10.75 euros (taking into consideration the nominal split of June 16, 2000)
June 16, 2000: The par value of each share comprising the capital stock is divided by two in order to reduce their current value from 7.50 euros to 3.75 euros through the exchange of one 7.50 euro share against two 3.75 euro shares. The two-for-one stock split has doubled the number of shares but the share price has been halved. For tax purposes, the purchase price per share has also been halved, but the value of the investment stays the same.
October 8, 2002: during the Shareholders’ Meeting, the company name was modified: Thomson multimedia became Thomson.
October 24, 2002: Thomson shares are listed on the Euronext Paris market and on the New York Stock Exchange under the name “Thomson” and the ticker “TMS.”
October 19, 2007 : The new share capital amounts to € 1,012,087,605, divided into 269,890,028 shares each with a par value of € 3.75, representing 269,890,028 voting rights.
